Do you think the rich western world would have acted by now if Zimbabwe had oil reserves ?

Do you think that is pretty sick ?Do you think the rich western world would have acted by now if Zimbabwe had oil reserves ?
That's exactly what i have been saying... it really Fcuks me off..... all the excuses that we use to go into other countries about.... 'oh blah the dictatorship' 'oh blah the poor people need liberating' 'oh blah blah bullshit *ahem, whisper* oil'

In Africa people are getting killed in mass genocide by the thousands.... sometimes the millions...far worse than what Saddam ever did or didn't do...... look at Rwanda for example....a million people literally chopped to pieces..... yet we sit back in the comfort of our own homes moaning and crying about our soldiers dying in places they have no right to be in anymore...... (no offence meant to anyone here)

The horrible thing is that OUR country sent that man Mugabe there many years ago... paid for it infact... our queen gave him an OBE for his gallant work.....SHOCKING....

now... way i see it is as we broke it shouldn't we now fix it? we would fix it quick enough if they had oil i am sure..... However..... i also think that this is a completely different level than what is goin on in Afghanistan and Iran/Iraq..... i think if we went in somewhere like Zimbabwe our troops would be biting off way more than they could handle... its a different level of violence all together..... remember black hawk down?.... these people are not playing..... they won't wait for your truck to go by and bomb it... they will just leap on your truck and chop you the the fcuk up on mass...

The man is clearly senile..... . Zimbabwe used to be a rich and fruitful country...one of the Jewels of Africa.... its awful and tear jerking to watch whats going on.... and the fact that its going on virtually unchallenged by the so called most powerfull countries in the world is astonishing and cowardlyDo you think the rich western world would have acted by now if Zimbabwe had oil reserves ?
of course they would have.

you know why they finally started to act in the Balkan wars in the early 90's

some engineers from Shell discovered the possibility of oil there and thus the us stepped up their initiative and allowed them to do the necessary research.

if Zimbabwe had oil they would have been overrun with US marines and bombed back to the stone age before they knew it.

The problem in Afrika is that a state of turmoil is actually beneficial for the great traders in it's natural riches.

Congo has been in a state of civil war since the late nineties with rebel factions fighting each other over the soils riches. The fighting keeps the factions competing which also makes them keep prices low to keep buyers happy.

A disgusting truth, but that's the way the world has turned since the independance of most african nations.
It is outrageous, one of my contacts answered this way better than I could but do you think I can find it.

If I do I will post a link, but don't hold your breath.

Ooh! I've just spotted him.

Sharky..
Unfortunately...

I live in the ';poor part'; of the ';Rich Western World,'; and...

We're too broke to ';act'; on anything other than a cheap pilsner beer can...
yes i do and it is definitely pretty sick....
