Of course off shore drilling was halted in 1981 by congress but on shore leases have been held up for years by radical environmental organizations thru law suits and lobbying the congressional members who rely on Gang-greens contributions to finance their campaigns. This is why we have an oil shortage today. Research it and you will be amazed how the green movement is now destroying the economy and even preparing to run all metals mining out of the U.S.
