Iranians, why is Iran so underdeveloped when it has so much Oil and Gas reserves?

If you look at the other Gulf Countries with Oil, they are all rich and developed with good economies





So Iran has the second largest Oil reserves and Gas Reserves in the world so why is it so behind and underdeveloped?





Does the government really steal all that money or is it because of sanctions?

The islamic regime that has come into play 30 years ago, has thrown us back over 100 years from the world. If you think about it; the world really evolved with technology in the past 10-15 years, let alone 30.





The ';Iranian'; government has been stealing everything that belongs to the Persian people, giving it away to Hamas, Palestine %26amp; Hezbollah. I have family in various states in Iran, and in June when things were really violent, they said that the general hostipals that are ment for civilians (public hospitals) were closed from the Iranians, but open for Palestinian soldiers at all times.Iranians, why is Iran so underdeveloped when it has so much Oil and Gas reserves?
While I'm not an Iranian, I can tell you why the country is very underdeveloped. There are two major reasons: 1. All of that oil wealth is concentrated in the hands of very few extremely rich oil magnates who hoard the money. 2. The government doesn't want to spend money to improve the lives of the people. They are too focused on keeping all of the money in the hands of the oil-barons who pay them to keep them in power. Oh, and they squander billions to pay for the construction of a massive military and their nuclear program. Those aren't exactly cheap either.

@ Ar par what's your problem with Islam? If you're talking about the religion that our leaders have I must tell you you're dead wrong coz this isn't Islam. What's the problem with Turkey people? They're 90% muslims but have a secular government. Is Islam a problem for them??
Because the system there is so outdated based on Islam. You can't let the clergy run the country. I'm not Iranian though.
