Wasn't Obama adamantly against this about a month ago???Why did Obama FLIP-FLOP on using strategic oil reserves?
Are you actually surprised? All Obama has proven to any American citizen is that he knows how to change his mind quickly and often on many issues if not all issues. He blows with the wind.Why did Obama FLIP-FLOP on using strategic oil reserves?
To be completely fair here, Obama isn't a flip-flopper. Flip-floppers hold only one position on a certain topic at a given time...Obama holds two positions on any given topic at any given time...





And yes, on July 7th, Obama was quoted stating that we should not even consider opening up the strategic oil reserves. Here we are on August 4, and Obama has just today stated that we need to open up the reserves.





My theory, Obama realized he was slipping in the poles. Hes taking a more popular position right now in order to gain those votes back. Its appearing more frequently to me that Obama will say or do just about anything to get our votes...
I don't for a moment believe that Obama has changed his mind and now feels it is necessary to use the oil reserves. I think that he realizes that it will gain him a few points in the polls - he will gain more from the people who want lower fuel prices (knowing himself this IS NOT the long-term answer) than he will loose from those who are upset for standing behind his earlier opinion and then him flopping. And by the way - it is an empty campaign promise - he says it's what he would do - knowing full well if he is elected he won't have to follow through - Remember ';Read my lips no new taxes'; difference is the prior President Bush really had conviction in his promise, just wasn't ABLE to follow through. Obama lacks conviction on this - and will CHOOSE not to follow through even if able.
You mean, less than a month ago, try 2 weeks ago. He keeps changing his mind about the solutions to the issues that our country is facing here and now. I, for one, always thought that his ';CHANGE'; is about changing his mind to suit his needs, gaining those votes anyway he can. We will begin to see him as a copycat of John McCain soon. He is already being accused of copying Hillary clinton, but CNN and FoxNews.





He is running out of things to say or do, to sound original. His lack of intelligence and originality is a spoof!

Mccain is a retarted war munger just like Bush, Obama is the only intelligent person running for president, Obama is trying to fix the f***ed up decisons that Bush made. Look what bush did he started unnecessary wars, made pretty much every country hate America, he spent billions of dollars on weapons of mass destruction when he could have used that money for hospitals or roads or for other things that people need. Oh and did you know that with all of the weapons of mass destruction that America has you guys can blow up the world 7 fricken times? And he says that Iraq have weapons of mass destruction, how the hell can Iraq have weapons of mass destruction? There fricken poor, well maybe not poor just not as rich in money than America is, so what the hell was Bush talking about? And Mccain is the exact same way. Mccain is just going to make this mess worst, Obama is trying his best to fix it, and is trying to make America be loved by everyone else, not hated, so stop it and shut up if you don't know what the hell your talking about!
The exact same question was being discussed on TV today. Only the candidate in question was Senator McCain. So he changed his mind too. It is what the people need to hear right now. Gas prices are cutting into young families' money and there are formula and pamper needs also, not to mention a myriad of other necessities.

Obama has looked at the situation and realizes that Americans are suffering, that rising gas prices are an emergency and that swaps of light crude for heavy crude have brought down prices in the past.





Seems like he's able to think on his feet. Will you not use the oil if it's released?
So, people shouldn't change their minds when faced with new information? No matter WHAT new information you get, you should NEVER change your mind!
