Would you be willing to pay more for gas made from oil sourced completely from North American oil reserves?

Is this a possible way to encourage oil companies to stop sourcing from the middle east, and actually give oil companies monetary incentive to source oil from locations that are less cost effective than the middle east?Would you be willing to pay more for gas made from oil sourced completely from North American oil reserves?
The problem is that they are not allowed to drill in many of the promising areas. If Americans did increase production, it should only drive prices down. The problem lies in allowing that to happen.Would you be willing to pay more for gas made from oil sourced completely from North American oil reserves?
Yes, yes and yes... and so should we all. And none of us need big gas guzzling statement cars. if you want all to know you are rich.. sew it on your shirt.. it impresses no one anyway.
Well considering the small percentage of oil used in america that is from the middle east.

Theres not much point in doing that.

Plus, why use all our oil, lets use their oil first, then when they run out, we will still have oil left.
Yeah man that sounds like a really great idea but theyd never go for it because it makes too much damn sense.
Well we get most of our oil from Canada and Mexico so I don't think doing that would really be much help.I believe most people see it as us saving as much oil as we can and using as much as there's so when they run out we will have plenty. You know the government isn't as stupid as it seems.
i am all for sourcing from other areas. But as far as our own supply, I feel it is best that we save our reserve for emergencies. And we do have a nice reserve now and no emergency. Based on that premise, I feel we do not have to tap into our reserve at this time.

(cost of oil right now is not an emergency)
The problem actually is not enough refineries. Even with the ones we do have - they run at half at best, And most all have some sort of ';problem'; issue.
