Global warming, economic crisis, reducing oil reserve, rising gas prices: Is there any hope?

I'm depressed: I just saw a documentary on how crude oil is running out, and how global warming is happening way faster than expected. I then went to put gas that was about $3.80/ a gallon. And then are economy sucks on top of that. Is there any hope for us? the human race? the world?Global warming, economic crisis, reducing oil reserve, rising gas prices: Is there any hope?
Yes it is depressing, but if we ALL cut back on what we use there'll be something left for our children. We MUST make sure that the people we put in power understand this and we have to insist that they sort it out.

Aren't you the lucky one - $3.80 per gallon. Here in the UK were paying between $9 - $10 for the same!!

We need very much more CHEAP public transport that runs 24/7 and has surveillance cameras on full time in-case of problems. The days of the cars must come to an end for getting to work. Just think how nice it would be not to have to be stuck in long queues of traffic. Well, it's a thought I guess.Global warming, economic crisis, reducing oil reserve, rising gas prices: Is there any hope?
Crude Oil is running out and it is the best thing that could be happening to the planet. The number of jobs that will be created by a new sustainable green economy are enormous. It will be painful between now and then but it has been coming for a long time. This time has been predicted for nearly 40 years. There is nothing wrong.

If we do the right thing, starting where we live, with the people in our lives and the environment around us, it will turn out. Human beings are nothing if not resourceful. You just have to find ways to express that with the environment. Vote green. Vote for innovation. Ride a bike. Do your part and have a clear conscience about your roll in the environment. Do a Google search for clean water and find a place to get involved.

Don't simply complain-- there are too many places where you can make a difference.
