Is it true that Bush's Oil buddies are sitting on huge shale reserves in the USA to keep the price high?

The shale reserves are really bad quality, and a lot more expensive to extract. Oil from them might cost more due to high costs to obtain. Is it true that Bush's Oil buddies are sitting on huge shale reserves in the USA to keep the price high?
It probably has more to do with the Democrats, who are in bed with both big business (oil companies lobby as many Democrats as they do Republicans) and environmentalists, who have blocked every attempt by Republicans (dating back even to Clinton's administration) to drill for crude and shale inside our boundries. Is it true that Bush's Oil buddies are sitting on huge shale reserves in the USA to keep the price high?
No, Shale reserves are not being utilized due to a congressional moratorium. The Oil people want to utilize these resources, but are unable to due to the congress.
US policy is to use all others oil. then and only then will we drill our on oil
Are you referring to Gull Island? This island would provide the US with enough oil for the next 200 yrs?

Edit: Green River? Well sounds like there are 2 places so far that could help us out of this crunch.
I believe that you got the answers you did not want. At $150.00 a barrel and rising do you think any ';BUDDIES'; would not get it on the market.
Bush is for drilling (offshore is quicker and cheaper than oil shale at this time), it's the dems in congress, especially Pelosi, that keep blocking it.
';Oil'; companies are really energy companies. They're still sitting on a large amount of oil that is increasing in value due to increasing demand for it's finite, shrinking supply.

While it's an evil course of action, from a purely business standpoint, the energy companies want to use up the last of that oil (thus making the greatest possible profit from it) before switching to alternative energy sources. That's not a defense of their actions, just an explanation.

In their defense, there are numerous regulatory barriers to going after our domestic oil and shale reserves, so their options are somewhat limited right now.

If, like me, you're worried about global climate change and potential environmental disasters like Exxon Valdez, then you're not all that anxious to go after these domestic reserves and would prefer to go after cleaner, renewable sources like solar and wind first.

On a related note, if the current high energy prices prompt Americans to find ways to conserve more energy (switching to more fuel efficient vehicles, home upgrades, more use of mass transit, etc.), then I'm all for it. That saves money, helps the environment and can be a catalyst for new domestic industries (and therefore jobs).
Absolutely, in fact they control all of the oil in the solar system! And they will never let go of it, causing interplanetary war and famine!! OK, again you got what you wanted. Happy? I thought not - still whining! How sad.
I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they cost $60--$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only over $140 a barrel. So here is my difficulty :

I have requested my agents spin the media, like: “Oil future looks high, expecting to be in the range of $200 a barrel soon” But it does not work price up fast enough.

I have paid the mainstream media, the Think Tanks, and the major PR talking heads, to spin China and India (supply and demand) responsible for price hike, to deflect American public anger. But that does not go far enough.

Right now, I am extremely nervous and worried. I urgently need a prey to buy those “paper barrels” on my hording. So I can profit. But where can I find my prey ?

ADD:

Airline industry has requested and demanded Congress stop oil speculation. I have my lobby on Capitol Hill work the Senators and Congressmen around the clock. But I do not how long they can hold.

NATURALLY!
Nope. Is it true that you keep throwing out wild speculation and baseless accusations? List your source next time you say something stupid.

EDIT

I never said shale reserves didn't exist. I want you to cite where Bush himself is keeping them from being tapped, and prove he is doing so in order to keep his ';oil buddies'; rich.
Oil prices are high because we pay for them. All we do is complain to each other and never do anything about it. It's like a hot bath, it stings at first but we're getting comfortable with it now.

Just look up the oil profits for the last quarter for all the big companies it's out of control. Prices could be lower if they wanted .
