Global warming, economic crisis, reducing oil reserve, rising gas prices: Is there any hope for the human race

I'm depressed: I just saw a documentary on how crude oil is running out, and how global warming is happening way faster than expected. I then went to put gas that was about $3.80/ a gallon. And then are economy sucks on top of that. Yes, of course there is hope! First of all, I think there's a lot more oil out there than we're being told about. They just don't want us to utilize it because it's forcing us to move to more environmentally friendly energy. As far as global warming, it is a huge problem, and we're going to have to deal with it. Each of us has the ability to make changes in our lives that do not affect our quality of life, yet are good for the environment. Climate change will bring death and destruction, but it's nothing we can't handle. The economy is in a slowdown/possible recession, but it's natural for all economy's to ';suck'; every once in a while. So, the bottom line is that things may not be going so smoothly right now, but this country and the world will make it through. We've been through worse things than this. Just think of all the crap we had to survive in the 20th century. Compared to some time periods, we have life very easy right now. All of that stuff isn't actually a threat to human survival, more of an inconvenience when you consider how much worse things could be.
Yes...ffs get a life...try dealing with war, famine, epidemics and sh!t like that...then see how depressed you are....you still get your petrol well below the price that the rest of the world has been paying for years...drive a more economical car and minimise your fuel costs and global warming in one fell swoop...
Why are you letting your computer and television tell you what your life is like?





My family and I are doing fine. No, life isn't easy, it never has been. Get used to it...because we're all going to be around for a long, long, long time.





I mean, sheesh, have people forgotten 1980 already? 12% unemployment! 22% interest rates!! 70% tax rates!!! The Cold War!!!! Apartheid in South Africa!!!!! Lake Erie was DEAD!!!!! We were headed into the next ice age!!!!!!





Your liberal media is lying to you. Things are not nearly as bad as you have been led to believe. Yeah, we're going into recession. These things happen.





And if your great grandparents are still around, go ask them what a real Depression is like. People in the west today have no friggin' clue what bad is.
