When the earth has been sucked dry of its oil reserves, what will happen?

I think:

* Noone will be fat anymore because we'll all be riding our bikes to work with no cars to drive

* People will not be as stressed because work hours will become shorter and less fixed cos we won't be able to get to work at the same time

* With no more electrcity we'll turn to one another to talk to because there'll be no tv

* Communities will be reformed because humans will begin to rely on one another again

* Technology will be a thing of the past so people will stop creating so much paper waste and we won't have to record everything down anymore

* Supermarkets will go out of business and people will start to grow their own fruit and vegetables again

* Men will become hunters again

* The ice caps will stop melting so quickly with less pollution destroying the ozone layer and therefore resulting in a hotter world (polar bears might just avoid extinction)

* Life will become real and natural again, people will become human beings againWhen the earth has been sucked dry of its oil reserves, what will happen?
Wow thats deep. Never thought of any of it I must admit. I always just assumed we would spend billions and billions of dollars on alternative fuels. When the earth has been sucked dry of its oil reserves, what will happen?
there are other ways, humans are intelligent
None of the above.
We will either all die out or adapt to the new environment.
Scientists are looking for alternative sources, such as electricity and bio diesel to power cars. I dont think life will be anything different.
No they will just release all the other sources for energy after awhile when people are willing to pay anything for it.
We'll be forced to use alternative sources for energy, most of which will be cleaner.
Nuclear power. It's already being used in some countries.
You are an Al Gore wanna be. I love your plans. Won't happen like that but it is fun to pretend isn't it?
Girl, you are a dreamer, but I like it.

The reality would be we'd manage on alternative fuel sources. It'll be amazing how the technology will increase once the need arrives.
I wish to God this would be true but knowing us we would devlop some stupid worse way for fuel like burn more coal. Then your ignorant people wanta get scared and blow things up.
In reality. Panick, lost of panick. No oil means no machines. No machines meen reccesion, recession leads to lack of jobs and overall depression.

Oh and the pollution is allready their, you wont be able to stop it. You may think no oil will help the Earth but in truth it will just speed up the destruction.
Honey, I love your optimism

Humanity still has a thermonuclear power up it's sleeve, don't forget about that...

But if there are no electricity and cars any more 60% of world poulation will die from hunger and diseases.

There will be horrible wars, because some coutries have more resourses and less military power and other countries - the other way around (oh, wait, that's happening already, hmmm...) - but that battle for resourses will only get worse.

If that is a ';simple life'; you are craving there are Amish communities in this country, that practice that way of living right now. If that is what you want, no need to wait for oil to run out, join the Amish today!
the oil supporting the earth above it will be gone and the earth that was once supported by this oil will more than likely cave in. your a real optimist because there is so much stuff that will go wrong be for any of it can go right i don't even see how you thought of all ';good'; that would come of the oil drying up first.
that is a very bad thing luckily we are working on solutions to this problem if the oil reserves run out true life will be totally organic but it would be completely messed up i mean traveling would take days famines would rise the things you thought up is just mind boggeling you have no idea of what problems would come with this
