Tell me your opinion: Is governments across the world ';milking'; tapped oil reserves?

If oil is such an issue because in a few generations it will be gone, why hasn't any action being taken to BEGIN other alteratives. It seems with every possible way to get out of the oil market it seems to dissappear or incorporated it self to something ';Hybrid';Tell me your opinion: Is governments across the world ';milking'; tapped oil reserves?
Hybrid is such a waste of time, being that it still uses massive amounts of gas while just prolonging the inevitable.

The only reason we're not investing everything we have into creating an alternative to oil, is that Bush and his cronies make massive amounts of money when oil is used.Tell me your opinion: Is governments across the world ';milking'; tapped oil reserves?
I don't quite understand your question. First of all, how are governments milking oil reserves? Oil companies are the ones who are pumping the oil and having to refine it.

Secondly, action is being taken on other alternatives, but things aren't quite feasible just yet (given the price) Of course if the price of oil keeps going up, then more things will become cost effective.

One of the biggest problems is that our entire way of life is based on an infrastructure (such as gas stations) that was designed for oil. It's not cheap to build new infrastructure and given that nobody wants to pay taxes (what another tax cut? give me!), the government doesn't have money to do it.
no just this one
