National Oil Reserves and Iran . . .?

What can you conclude about the U.S. government topping off strategic oil reserves (capacity 727 million barrels of oil . . . currently at 700 million) given the current price of oil . . .? Normal capacity hovers around 400 to 500 million barrels . . . Do you think this can be connected to policy in Iran . . . Is this why the Democrats want the President to stop purchasing oil for strategic reserves?National Oil Reserves and Iran . . .?
the democrats want to stop purchasing for the reserve because they want to score political points... the reality is that we consume 21million barrels per day and supply the reserve at 60-70 thousand barrels per day. that means that compared to total oil usage, we send .3% of daily consumption to reserve and if we were to stop sending it, it would drop prices by less than a penny per gallon. there is no advantage in not sending oil to the reserve at this time.National Oil Reserves and Iran . . .?
1. We don't get any oil for Iran

2. The administration does whatever will drive oil prices up

3. They also don't plan ahead
