Since canada has enormous oil reserves, will we be invading them next?

I think the ONLY reason we wouldn't invade Canada over oil is because they are our neighboring country. That would spark REAL physical tension that would stretch across the entire northern border of the US.





Now if Canada were divided between the northern half of Canada and the southern (with both sides being opposing factions), I'm sure we would supply both sides with whatever they needed to fight eachother (whatever they need that we're selling), but in the end ';publically'; declare that we are fighting the northern faction and then move in after for their oil.

We currently import more oil from Canada than from the Middle East. We want to control Middle East oil just to make sure China and Russia doesn't. Silly question. No chance - they are our friends
We're already not respecting their sovereignty (and they're letting us) by having DEA offices there. So I wouldn't say it's a far fetched possibility; I just don't expect it to happen.

Canada's an exceptionally liberal country so I definitely hope so. If we gave them citizenship their vote would be a welcome addition. Haha, I love it... Canada and Iraq. Good 'ol politics.
