Why majority of oil reserves are only found in middle east?

What is so special about its Geology, that so many oil reserves are formed over there ?Why majority of oil reserves are only found in middle east?
its because of the carbonifrious period when that area was mainly large boggy swampland.over time the dead vegitation slowly broke down into oil as it was being burried. also a combination of plate tectonics to moving the land mass to the areas that they are found in now. hope this helpsWhy majority of oil reserves are only found in middle east?
Middle east just has a lot of oil that is easily drilled out. Oil is all over the world (Russia outproduces Saudi Arabia in oil). There are oil fields in the gulf of Mexico that are just as large as the middle east its just too expensive to drill there.
Not the majority,but asubstantial part of them,and possibly the best known due to the peculiarities of the region...
