Should the US open up our emergency oil reserves?

We aren't privy to the strategic information necessary to have an informed opinion, although many on the left don't care about having facts they are into feeling. The decision to open or not to open is up to our elected leaders.Should the US open up our emergency oil reserves?
No.It is actually a ';Strategic Oil Reserve'; to be used if supplies are disrupted.(War,Embargo,Natural Disaster affecting oil terminals,etc)

If China can work 24/7 to build infrastructure very quickly why can not we start drilling immediately and also a refinery. In a short period of time. Just do not allow our government to tie there hands with millions of permits etc.
No it's not an emergency. The problem we face today is the problem we will face in six months and the problem in six years. More worldwide demand for gas than can be met for $3 / gallon.
